Parks and Recreation Commission

Responsibilities

The Parks and Recreation Commission shall have power and be required to: 

• Act in an advisory capacity in all matters pertaining to public parks and recreation
• Assist in the planning of parks and recreation programs
• Consider the annual budget of the Parks and Recreation Department and make recommendations to the city manager and City Council
• Promote and stimulate public interest
• Solicit to the fullest possible extent the cooperation of the school authorities and other public and private agencies
