Civil Service Commission

Responsibilities

The Civil Service Commission's duties are to appoint Fire and Police department personnel for the City of Denison, make promotions, and hear appeals from the administrative decisions of those departments on disciplinary matters. 

Commission members are appointed by the city manager and confirmed by the City Council. Members must adhere to the city limit requirements.
