Tips and Guidelines for the Hunt:
Here’s some guidance on how parents can assist children during the Hunt!
- At 7:15pm, hop over to your designated field and line up behind the cones like eggs in a row. help us make sure everyone has a fair chance to get to the eggs!
- Remember, little bunnies, hunt 'up' not 'down' if needed. if the older chicks need to help their younger siblings find eggs, it must be in the older siblings’ age groups!
- Once the horn sounds, it's time to spring into action and start hunting! But no picking eggs until then!
- Each egg is a treasure trove filled with candy; and if you find a golden egg, you'll discover a special surprise inside! Make sure to immediately redeem any golden eggs after the hunt at the City of Denison booth!
For our youngest chicks and those in the adaptive hunt, parents and guardians are welcome to tag along and assist for a safe and egg-citing hunt! just don’t pick the eggs up for the kiddos!
Assistance may include aiding in mobility around the hunt area, helping them spot eggs, carrying their baskets, and for the very young participants, guiding their hands to pick up eggs and introducing them to the activity through motion teaching.
It is important to us that every child has a fair and enjoyable opportunity to participate. Therefore, we kindly ask parents to refrain from overly directing the activity by picking up eggs on behalf of their children. Our goal is to foster a supportive, yet independent, experience for all participants.
We look forward to a fun and memorable Easter Egg Hunt and thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
