The City Clerk's Office is a statutory position required by state law and the City Charter. The City Clerk is appointed by the City Manager and confirmed by the City Council.
The City Council consists of 7 members elected by the residents of the City of Denison. Four of the council members are elected from single member districts, places 1 through 4, and 3 are elected at large, including the mayor and places 5 and 6.
