Swimming Pool Patron Code of Conduct

The following Code of Conduct is applicable to all who visit or participate in Waterloo Pool programs, services, and activities. As a participant and visitor, you agree that you will:

 

  • Behave in a courteous and respectful manner towards others. All users are required to conduct themselves in a manner that does not interfere with another person’s enjoyment of Waterloo Pool.
  • Use all equipment and facilities at your own discretion and risk.
  • Refrain from behavior or language that is abusive, threatening, inappropriate, or disruptive to others, which may result in expulsion from Waterloo Pool.
  • Dress in attire appropriate swimming attire. Inappropriate, or revealing attire, as determined by Waterloo Pool staff, may result in expulsion from the Pool.
  • Food and non-alcoholic drinks are allowed in the Waterloo Pool facility but are not allowed in the pool or on the brick around the pool.  No glass containers may be used. Coolers are allowed. Participants must dispose of trash or waste appropriately.
  • Certified service animals permitted on deck, not in the water. No pets allowed in the facility by Health Department regulations. The ADA does not override public health rules that prohibit dogs in swimming pools.
  • Refrain from destruction or defacement of City property, including littering.
  • Responsibly secure your own personal belongings. Waterloo Pool is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Keep Waterloo Pool a drug, alcohol, and tobacco-free environment and promptly report all illegal drug, alcohol, and tobacco usage immediately.
  • Refrain from providing professional services for compensation, including photography, exercise or sport training, or food sales. Only authorized vendors may provide professional services within Waterloo Pool. (Parties interested in becoming an authorized vendor should contact the manager on duty for information.)
  • No Cell phones or cameras in the water, phone faces are glass and could break allowing glass in the water.  Permission may be given by management to allow cameras or phones in the water for specific use.
  • Follow all written rules as well as verbal directions by Waterloo Pool staff.
  • Patrons and guests violating any Waterloo Pool guidelines may be required to leave Waterloo Pool, forfeit paid fees, and may be prohibited from future use of Waterloo Pool.
