Join us on the last Saturday of April for the Doc Holliday Festival!
Did you know the famous Doc Holliday had a dentistry office in Downtown Denison? Life was a little different here back then! Come experience the boomtown of Denison in the 1870-80's at the annual Doc Holliday Festival.
Featuring authentic old west reenactors, gunfights, authors, historians, wild west photo ops, wagon rides, kids activities, a petting zoo, an old fashioned parade, antiques fair, the Hootin' & Hollerin' Beard & Mustache Contest sponsored by Texoma Barbers, a costume contest, food, live music, and more, there's something for everyone to enjoy!
A fan favorite is the Artist Village located in the Denison Senior Center, which hosts artists demonstrating period work, spoken word performances, genealogy research, and children's crafts.
Be sure to visit the 700 Block of Main Street for the Frontier Village Encampment featuring reenactors, blacksmithing, woodworking, black pot cooking, live music and historical demonstrations!
Don't miss out on the fun of days gone by!
Check out our event on Downtown Denison Facebook for more details and updates on live music, activities, and events going on during the festival.
