About the Role
As a Communications Specialist, you would be responsible for:
- Answering emergency and non-emergency calls
- Dispatching police, fire, and emergency medical services
- Providing essential information and support to first responders
- Maintaining accurate records and logs of all communications
Qualifications
While we are not hiring at the moment, typical qualifications for a Communications Specialist include:
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Proficiency with computers and technology
- Previous experience in dispatch or public safety (preferred but not required)
