Striving for excellence, Denison Fire Rescue seeks to recruit only the most highly skilled and motivated candidates for the challenging position of firefighter/EMT. To become eligible for employment, applicants must successfully complete the civil service firefighter entry level exam.
The results of the test are good for 1 year.
Applicant Requirements
- All candidates are required to have a valid driver's license, a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent certification, and be at least 18 to 35 years old
- Applicants will need to be TCFP Certified Firefighter/EMT-B certified OR Certified Paramedic before the civil service entrance exam
- Applicants will need to pass a written test, physical ability test, oral board, medical examination, drug screen, and vision test
- Applicants will be subject to an extensive public safety background check
