Certificate of Occupancy

To apply for a Certificate of Occupancy permit, please follow the steps below.

  1. Register as Business owner/Building owner Register Here
  2. Follow the instructions on the activation letter that will be sent to the email you provided once registration is approved
  3. Complete CO application (You will need to upload this document when applying online)
  4. Login to MyGov Here
  5. Click on Request Project
  6. Choose Certificate of Occupancy permit. (Under describe work name the business and the type of business)
  7. Enter the address for your location on the next page : Only enter the street number and street name
    1. Ex: for 300 W. Main you would enter 300 under street number and main under street name then click search address on the right
    2. Find the correct address and click select on the right side
  8. Complete online application
  9. Under CO application click choose file and upload the CO application you completed in step 3
  10. Review process is done by 6 different departments

The certificate of occupancy must be displayed within the business once issued. Once all inspections have passed the certificate must be picked up in the permit office on the 2nd floor of city hall.
