National Night Out

National Night Out

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

In Texas, due to the heat, we hold our NNO on the first Tuesday in October. This year NNO is scheduled for October 3rd, 2023 in Forest Park.

Last year’s event was a huge success as many new neighborhoods came on board and community participation in the festivities increased from previous years – the Denison Police Department is hoping this year will be even bigger! This national event promotes neighborhood camaraderie by bringing neighbors together to effectively identify and fight crime while building relationships with one another and the Denison Police Department. This is an excellent opportunity to get to know your neighbors, support local businesses, and engage in a community-wide, family friendly event.
