Cemetery Ordinance Compliance Sweep Begins January 12, 2026
The City of Denison’s Cemetery Division will begin a Cemetery Sweep Program on January 12, 2026, to ensure all cemetery plots are in compliance with existing ordinances. This program is part of our ongoing effort to maintain the dignity, safety, and appearance of our cemetery grounds.
As part of the sweep, cemetery staff will remove items that do not comply with established rules and regulations, including—but not limited to—unauthorized decorations, borders, fencing, or materials that may pose maintenance or safety concerns.
We encourage all lot owners and families to review the current cemetery ordinance and guidelines prior to January 12 to make any necessary adjustments to their plots.
