Water Rates
The City of Denison will institute an increase in our water and sewer rates, effective December 1st, 2022. This increase is necessary to support Denison's growing infrastructure needs. We appreciate your support in helping us grow alongside you. As of December 1st, 2025, the minimum monthly rate for for a residential account inside the city limits is $110.46. Water Rates (Inside City Limits)
Residential: minimum monthly charge for the first 1000 gallons of water consumption is: $36.73 for 1" meter and below, $60.24 for 1 1/2" meter, $92.57 for 2" meter, $330.60 for 3" meter, and $418.76 for 4" meter.
There is a per 1000-gallon tiered rate for water consumption over the first 1000 gallons: 1000-5000: $4.3387, 5001-10000: $5.4234, 10001-up: $6.7793.
Commercial: minimum monthly charge for the first 1,000 gallons of water consumption is: $68.02 for 1" meter and below, $111.56 for 1 1/2" meter, $171.42 for 2" meter, $612.22 for 3" meter, and $775.48 for 4" meter.
There is a per 1000-gallon tiered rate for water consumption over the first 1000 gallons: 1000-25000: $5.7403, 25001-50000: $7.1754, 50001 -up: $8.9692.
Industrial: minimum monthly charge for the first 1000 gallons of water consumption is: $115.64 for 1" meter and below, $189.65 for 1 1/2" meter, $291.42 for 2" meter, $1040.77 for 3" meter, and $1318.31 for 4" meter.
Water Rates (Outside City Limits)
Residential: minimum monthly charge for the first 1000 gallons of water consumption is: $56 for 1" meter and below, $90.36 for 1 ½" meter, $138.86 for 2" meter, $495.90 for 3" meter, and $628.14 for 4" meter. There is a per 1000-gallon tiered rate for water consumption over the first 1000 gallons: 1000-5000: $6.5376, 5001-10000: $8.1351, 10001-up: $10.1690.
Commercial: minimum monthly charge for the first 1000 gallons of water consumption is: $102.03 for 1" meter and below, $167.34 for 1 ½" meter, $257.13 for 2" meter, $918.33 for 3" meter, and $1163.22 for 4" meter. There is a per 1000-gallon tiered rate for water consumption over the first 1000 gallons: 1000-25000: $8.6105, 25001-50000: $10.7631, 50001-up: $13.4538.
Industrial: minimum monthly charge for the first 1000 gallons of water consumption is: $173.46 for 1" meter and below, $284.48 for 1 ½" meter, $437.13 for 2" meter, $1561.16 for 3" meter, and $1977.47 for 4" meter. There is a per 1000-gallon tiered rate for water consumption over the first 1000 gallons: 1001-3750000: $7.6292, 3750001-7500000: $7.3125, 7500001-up: $6.9960.
Sewer Rates (Inside City Limits)
Residential minimum monthly charge for the first 1000 gallons of water consumption is: $42.20 for 1" meter and below, $69.22 for 1 1/2" meter, $106.35 for 2" meter, $379.84 for 3" meter, and $481.13 for 4" meter. Sewer Rates (Outside City Limits)
Residential minimum monthly charge for the first 1000 gallons of water consumption is: $63.30 for 1" meter and below, $103.83 for 1 1/2" meter, $159.53 for 2" meter, $569.76 for 3" meter and $721.70 for 4" meter.
