Swimming is fun, as well as a great life skill for your children to learn. One of the reasons is that drowning is one of the leading causes of death in the whole world. Drowning is the second-leading cause of unintentional injury death for children and sixth for people of all ages.

To help ensure your children will not drown when swimming, you should ensure that they get top-notch swimming lessons. Learning to swim imparts children with survival skills and great techniques to prevent exhaustion. The best thing that you can do is start teaching your child to swim as early as one year old. Infant swimming lessons reduce the risk of drowning for your child as they grow.

CLASS LEVELS AND DESCRIPTIONS

Swimming classes for infants (Water Tots) include children and parents. Although infants can show swimming movement, they are not old enough to swim properly on their own. Therefore, it is prudent to enroll in a parent-child class. In our Water Babies class, we will work together on building basic water safety skills for both parents and children. This class is designed to help parents understand how to instill water safety knowledge and skills safely and effectively within their children. This class is not meant to speed up a child's learning processes, but rather to help parents create a culture of safety and comfort in and around the water. These water play classes help your kid to get used to staying in the water. It is also a fun activity for you and your kid. It is a great way to introduce your kid to build readiness skills and introduce water safety skills.

Pre-K Swimming Lessons are for children starting at Age 3.  The child needs to be able to be away from the guardian and participate in class. In Preschool Aquatics, the instructor builds a relationship of trust with the student to develop comfort and competence in the water. All skills are performed with assistance, but some students are capable of so much more. Additionally, all students are taught basic water safety skills and rules to help improve and increase their water safety knowledge.

In Level 1, the students are given opportunities to develop comfort and confidence in the water. Swimmers in this level are taught to their comfort level and are helped towards the goal of being safe in and around the water. All skills are performed with assistance, but exiting this level requires the student to perform with confidence. Swimmers in LTS Level 1 are assisted in being able to swim and perform skills with minimal assistance or independently for a determined length of time or distance.

In Level 2, the instructor will be introducing more activities and drills that will foster independence in the swimmers. Swimmers at this level are comfortable in the water but have limited independent swimming abilities. This level is designed to continue to improve the skills learned in LTS LVL 1 (floating, gliding, arm and leg action, submersion, etc.). To exit LTS LVL 2, swimmers should be able to swim on their front and back independently for 5 meters and should be able to float on their back for by themselves for 15 seconds, along with meeting other skill checkpoints.

In Level 3, swimmers are pushed to swim greater distances and are taught a variety of different swimming strokes, with an emphasis on the 4 competitive swimming strokes: Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Freestyle/ Front Crawl. Not only are students becoming stronger swimmers, but they are becoming safer swimmers. In this level, we discuss more advanced water safety skills and how we can use our water safety skills to keep others safe.

In Level 4, swimmers are pushed to swim greater distances than in level 3 and variety of different swimming strokes are analyzed and refined, with an emphasis on the 4 competitive swimming strokes: Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Freestyle/ Front Crawl. Swimmer at this level begin learning more advanced swimming techniques to make them faster, more efficient swimmers. In this level, we discuss more advanced water safety skills and how we can use our water safety skills to keep others safe.
