Repair of structural foundations requires a permit. An engineered plan outlining the repair is not required. However, you must submit a permit application along with a drawing of the repairs that you are proposing to make. The drawing must indicate the material and details of the work that is proposed. For instance, if you will be installing new 12" X 12" piers that will be 20" deep, please indicate those dimension as well as the size and an location of rebar to be installed in the piers.
