Inside Denison City Limits

The City of Denison Animal Services Division  is committed to partnering with Denison's citizens, veterinarians, and animal welfare organizations to promote responsible pet ownership, and to provide outstanding animal health and welfare and human health protection services.

Animal Services provides the following animal care and control services for residents living within the city limits of Denison:

The staff also responds immediately to an injured animal, wild or aggressive animal, and loose livestock.

Adoption

The City of Denison Animal Services has partnered with the Denison Animal Welfare Group (DAWG) for adoption services. DAWG is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and re-homing of pets in need. Outside Denison City Limits

People who live outside the Denison corporate city limits and wish to surrender an animal need to take the animal to the shelter in their city.
