I would like to welcome you to the Denison Police Department’s web page. We have an authorized strength of 45 sworn officers and 12 civilian support staff and each of these employees is eager to be of service to you.

The Denison Police Department recognizes its responsibility to protect the lives and property of the citizens in our community. Our goals are to prevent crime from occurring and citizens from becoming victims.

In order to accomplish this purpose, we provide quality police services in the quickest and most effective manner with maximum results. We strive to be as active as possible in anticipating and preventing unsafe conditions and protecting individuals and their property from the imprudent acts of others.

To achieve our goal, we seek out and train highly motivated men and women to provide professional staff, employ the latest technology and promote community involvement.

The success of law enforcement efforts in any community depends largely upon citizen interest and participation. We are consciously aware of our responsibility to the citizens and will always utilize effectively and efficiently the resources allocated to us.
