If I want to apply for more than one position, do I need to fill out an application for each position?
An application needs to be filled out for each position that you are applying for.

May I apply for any position at any time?
The City of Denison only accepts applications for positions that are currently open.

Do you maintain applications on file?
At the close of the application process or once the position is filled, all applications are returned to the Human Resources Department for retention purposes only. You must reapply for any future vacancies.

Is the City of Denison civil service?
Yes. The administration of the police and fire departments are governed under the Local Government Code 143.

Do you have to be certified to take the Police or Fire entry level examination?
The Police Department does not require that a candidate be certified in order to take the Police Entry Level Examination.  You must have a Firefighter/EMT certification in order to be eligible to take the Fire Entry Level Examination.
