Trash bags are sold at the Central Fire Station, 700 W. Chestnut St., 24 hours a day.
Do I need to have a smoke detector and what kind should I get?
The Denison Fire Department recommends that there be a U.L. approved smoke detector in all levels/living areas of residential properties, hotels, motels, etc.
Do I need a C.O. (Carbon Monoxide) detector?
The Denison Fire Department recommends that you have at least one C.O. detector in every occupancy where wood-burning stoves, fireplaces, or other gas-fueled appliances are in use.
What are the charges for ambulance transport? Who do I call in have questions?
The charges are set by action of the City Council as part of the budget process and are as follows:
Non-Emergency Transport: $350.00 plus cost of supplies
Emergency Transport: $400.00 plus cost of supplies.
Emergency 2 (codes): $500.00 plus cost of supplies.
Mileage (outside city limits): $7.00 a mile

Why does the ambulance service ask me for insurance information when I've already provided it to the hospital?
We are not affiliated with the hospital and no billing/insurance information is collected by the paramedics at the time of service.
The paramedics treated me but didn't transport me. Will I be charged?
Patients who receive care at the scene and are not transported to a hospital are not charged for these services.
I live inside the Denison city limits. What are the regulations concerning using fireworks on my property?
No fireworks are allowed within the city limits of Denison.
