The City Council consists of seven members elected by the inhabitants of the City of Denison. Four of the council members are elected from single member districts (places 1 through 4) and three are elected at large (places 5 through 7) Place Seven is the Mayor.

Under the “Council Manager Government” type the Council enacts legislation, adopts budgets, determines policies, and appoints the city manager who executes the laws and administer the government of the City.

The City of Denison seeks residents interested in public service by serving on the City’s boards and commissions. Some boards require special qualifications and all require a commitment of the volunteer’s time. Read More (PDF)
