Texoma Council of Governments will be hosting the Texoma Household Hazardous Waste Collection event on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 9:00am to 1:00pm for Grayson County. The drop off location will be at Grayson College, 6101 Grayson Drive (FM 691) Denison, Texas. Items that will be accepted include: batteries, sprays, aerosols, cleaners, sealers, solvents, gasoline, tire, used motor oil, filters, antifreeze, insecticides, pesticides, weed killer, fluorescent lights, oil-base & latex paints, thinners & solvents, degreasers, pool chemicals, ink & toner cartridges, electronics & computer hardware, audio/video equipment, properly rinsed containers and agricultural crop protection product containers. There will be items that are restricted and not accepted. These restricted items include: radioactive materials (smoke detectors), infectious/biologically active materials, ammunition, explosive materials, compressed gas cylinders, PCBs, regulated dioxins, drums (liquids/solids), semi or tractor tire, rims and waste from businesses or contractors.
