Chief's Message

Welcome to the Denison Police Department’s webpage. The Denison Police Department is a highly professional organization of 47 sworn officers and 15 civilian support staff. All of our employees are eager to be of service to our community.

The members of the police department comprise men and women of high character and integrity that are called to serve our community.  We strive to enhance the quality of life in Denison through partnerships with our citizens, the schools, and the business community.  “Doing our best with every contact” is a constant goal of all of our police employees.  Through community outreach programs and contacts, we look for every opportunity to promote community involvement.

The employees of the Denison Police Department are now in a brand new remodeled police facility that is second to none.  Soon, we will add a new dispatch center to the police facility to centralize the police, fire and EMS calls to offer a more seamless communication process to handle emergencies in our community.

There are many exciting things happening with our police department and the City of Denison, but at the forefront of our efforts is our law enforcement mission and we are no-nonsense in our commitment to protect and serve our citizens, our schools, our business community, our churches and our visitors to this great city.

Our employees experience quality training each year and there are special units of elite officers in the department’s Criminal Investigation Division, Narcotics Division, Honor Guard, Special Operations Group, Bike Patrol, Dive Team and K-9.  Officers in these units are expected to consistently do their jobs at the highest level of performance and service.

As we continue our journey to greatness, we constantly seek high-quality men and women to join us on our journey.  Through extensive training and development while utilizing the most modern technology and equipment as possible and practical, our mission is to simply be the best police department in the region.  We enjoy outstanding support from our citizens, schools, churches, and businesses.

We hope you find our webpage informative and helpful. Now that our facility has been remodeled, stop by for a tour or we have a ride out program for qualified persons wanting to get a feel for what officers do in the field.  If you do not find the information that you need, feel free to contact us at (903) 465-2422.
