The City of Denison provides medical insurance for all permanent full-time employees. The current provider is the Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Employee Benefits Pool. The City pays $458 per month towards the cost of each employee's plan. Employees have the choice of 8 medical plans including 2 HSAs and an HRA. Medical Insurance coverage begins on the 1st of the month following the date of hire.
Early retirees will pay 190% of the insurance premiums for themselves and their dependents. In addition, there are pre-65 and post-65 plans available.
Dental and Vision is also available to purchase for employees and their dependents.
